Substation Insulators

MPS offers a wide variety of standard and high strength silicone station posts from 7.5 kV to 345 kV for the utility market.

In addition to being used on bus supports, many global switch manufacturers offer Maclean station posts on switches. MPS also offers direct one piece silicone replacement products to retrofit older cap and pin posts in substations.

Standard Strength:

MPS offers standard strength silicone station posts. These station posts meet the mechanical heights and comparable electrical performance of their porcelain TR numbers. This means they can be used as direct replacements in most cases. These weigh about 1/3 the weight of porcelain and offer excellent hydrophobic properties.
